My Time

A lot of people have asked my time for the 5k. It was 21:03, which is a 6:47 pace. It is 26 seconds faster than any 5k that I’ve done with a triathlon.

By the time that I was done with the race, I was dying. Do you know what overall place I was in? 83rd. 5th in my age group. How did 82 people run faster than that? That’s crazy.

I know, 83rd place isn’t much to be proud of. But, there were over 1,100 people there, so I was in the top 10%. I’ll take it.

  1. sweet!
That’s a big 5K race. I’ve never seen one that size around here. Must be a populated area thing…good old Northeast Indiana probably doesn’t have 1,000 runners here, LOL.
The biggest race I was ever in, I came in around 1,100th place.

    It’s crazy–perspective is everything!

  2. There were 1,943,633 blogs with 51,725 new posts today at 10:55 am, and I read yours first.

I just wanted you to know that you won something. The crazy part is that you were probably sitting on your rump when you won this, as opposed to running faster than a child’s nose after a day at summer camp.

You should know that you don’t have to work so hard to come in first with your friends.

(But you are still pretty darn fast!!!)
