trying to kill my mother-in-law…plant
Outside of our town-home, we have a ton of plants called, “mother-in-law plants,” because of their sharpness…pretty funny.
What’s not funny is that I’m trying to kill the stupid things and they won’t die. I have literally pulled them all out of the ground and filled the holes that I pulled them out of with weed killer, and they still grow back. I have unintentionally killed 3 plants that I wanted to keep that way, but these little mother-in-law plants keep coming back.
So, I’m taking any ideas on how to kill them. I’ve thought about gasoline because I hear that it will kill anything. If that doesn’t work, I’ll set the gasoline on fire and set my whole area where they’re growing on fire…that will teach them.
Any ideas?

Can you kill it with kindness?
my only other thought is with napalm (“it is a tactical weapon used to remove vegetative cover and instill fear”)

Mother – in -law plants are not to be killed and should not die. There purpose is to keep hanging arround and being a pain. It’s a case of toleration … that can turn into admiration for the fact they just don’t go away. I suggest you get son-in-law and daughter-in-law plants and incorperate them into the soil. Pretty soon…… they will reproduce and the baby plants will be so awesome.. that you won’t worry about the mother-in-law plants anymore, because the baby plants need them to thrive. If that doesn’t work… use Clorox bleach.
