mind dump

This is just a mind dump of the things that are on my mind right now…

- I really want to get back into blogging regularly, but I’m having to use my best time for other things when I need to be creative and so when I do have time, my tank is too dry to put any good thoughts into things.

- Pray for the team in India…God’s going to do some cool stuff through them.

- We almost have our living trust (our will) done. So, we have a living trust and life insurance – not sure how else to prepare for the worst, so I hope that this is enough.

- My schedule is a bit crazy, but I can feel it slowing down a bit this week…should be better by next week. I don’t have any night meetings next week and I’m planning to keep it that way!

- I’m speaking at a church in Estero this week, Christ Community Ministries, as their lead pastor is on the trip to India with our church. I feel good about the message and I’ll probably preach it at NLC whenever I get the chance.

- Our Christmas series is going to be fun…it might be the first FUN Christmas series that we’ve ever done.

- I’m trying to work out my work out, ‘off-season,’ right now. I’m enjoying running a lot and ran 29 miles last week and am on pace for more this week (I’ve already ran 20 this week). I’m trying to determine if I should tone it down so that I don’t burn myself out.

- Annie and I are going to do the Turkey Trot 5k in Cape Coral on Thanksgiving morning – we’re going to push Karston in the stroller.

- Annie and I are going to do the half-marathon in January in Naples as long as I can miss that Sunday.

- I want to do a half-ironman in 2009. There’s one in November in Miami, so that will be the one that I aim for unless something comes up (last year, we had Karston and this year we ran a marathon in October).

- I’m starting to WANT to bike and swim again. I haven’t done either since April, so that’s a good sign. I still think that I’m going to wait until the first of the year to do either.

- Charlie needs to give me his bike trainer to borrow for 6 – 11 months.

- The leaders in the children’s ministry at NLC are ridiculously awesome! I’m blown away every week!

- I talked to Will, our amazing youth pastor, today and he got offered a youth pastor job in Oklahoma. We both agreed that we like it here better.

- Quantum of Solace is calling my name…

  1. There are only 3 people in North America that are worse people to lend something to than you, and just because I am one of them, that does not give you a get out of jail free card. I will let you borrow something much smaller and of far less value next week. Perhaps a coin or a pen. I will give you a deadline for its return and we will see what happens. We can work up from there…but I insist on baby steps for now.

  2. who are the other 2 people?
